Job Goal

Assist teachers and substitute ESE instructors in achieving IEP and program goals through daily planning, in-service training, and faculty meetings. Provide one-on-one support to reinforce learning, supervise students on buses, and implement special strategies, materials, and activities. Perform essential routines including escorting, toileting, feeding, positioning, and assisting with clean-up, fire drills, and field trips. Maintain ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professional standards while managing record-keeping duties such as attendance, behavior charting, and lunch counts. Adhere to Florida Statutes regarding medical procedures and equipment care. Requires high school diploma, AA degree, or passing score on paraprofessional examination, plus experience with students with disabilities. Contact Amy Bowles at Southside School for details.
