Job Summary
Visitor Experience Associate I, a part-time, temporary role for the Detroit Institute of Arts, focused on delivering exceptional visitor service. Responsibilities include floor management, handling devices and signage, coat check, concierge, ticket handling during special exhibitions, guiding visitors, crowd flow management, stocking maps and brochures, and supporting museum programs and events. Must demonstrate strong customer service, public speaking, collaboration across departments, and flexible availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and remote collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams). Education: high school diploma or equivalent; experience in sales or customer service/call center is required. This is a museum-based, on-site role in Detroit, MI.
Required Qualifications
