Job Summary
Initiate and maintain ongoing contacts with business representatives, industry organizations, and job placement agencies to source openings and secure placements for VERGE clients. Conduct cold calls to potential employers, research job leads across multiple resources, and collect data to match applicant skills with specific job requirements. Coach clients on interview preparation, resume writing, and job retention while coordinating interviews and providing labor market information. Coordinate job fairs, facilitate workshops, and identify WEP training sites for participants, then monitor work performance to drive improvement. Prepare forms and reports tracking participant activity and progress data.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of demonstrated workforce experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional presentation and instruction
- Ability to Multi-Task
- Intermediate level MS Windows and Office
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's preferred in social work, education, communications, human resources, or business
- 2 years relevant exposure to, or experience working with clients experiencing challenges in finding employment
- Bilingual -Spanish
- Prior experience in training and development
