Job Summary
The Job Developer serves as the liaison between workforce programs and employers, providing career counseling and specialized job search assistance and development. Responsibilities include developing opportunities for quality work experience and paid work-based training, conducting on-site visits for participants in work-based training, coordinating targeted recruitment/placement for funded populations, interviewing customers to assess skills and employment needs, identifying barriers to employment, following up with customers and referrals, maintaining accurate data and case files, and utilizing labor market information to inform outcomes. Requires collaboration with Career Counselors, employers, and diversified customers; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, data entry, and relationship-management skills; bilingual ability preferred. The role supports meeting employer performance measures and delivering workforce services through the Career Center, with duties spanning program coordination, eligibility considerations, and ongoing client support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associates or undergraduate degree preferred
- One year of related experience in business development, sales, client relations, or recruiting preferred
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred (preferred)
