Job Summary
Conduct employer outreach to identify and build relationships with businesses offering transitional and permanent employment opportunities. Develop transitional employment agreements, coordinate candidate screening and referrals, and match job seekers to roles across diverse sectors. Prepare customers for interviews by reviewing labor market information, assisting with resume preparation, and delivering work readiness sessions. Maintain follow-up contact with employers to ensure satisfaction and plan quality improvements while receiving daily feedback to refine performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in social services or a related field such a psychology, vocational rehabilitation, or occupational rehabilitation
- four years direct customer service experience providing services in a clinical or social service environment
- Experience in programs that place customers in employment
- Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven
- Exceptional customer and employer service and engagement skills
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience with publicly-funded programs
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families experience
- Experience in assessing the need for and making reasonable accommodations for customers
- Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities
- Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities
- Experience developing employment opportunities for individuals with medical limitations, justice impacted, monolingual, and academically challenged
- Ability to match and place an average of 10 to 15 job seekers monthly in unsubsidized employment opportunities
- Must have a job bank of employers that cover the following sectors; (Security, Transportation, Healthcare/Social Services, Administration, Hospitality, Food Service, Maintenance/Laborers, Retail/Customer Service, Education & Technology)
- Experience coordinating and organizing on-site hiring events and job fairs for single and multiple employers
- Capable of preparing and delivering weekly and monthly reports measuring self-placement performance
