Job Summary
Two Information Systems Technician (IT) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) are sought to provide technical, operational, and curriculum development support to Navy training modernization efforts. Responsibilities include network and system administration of LAN/WAN networks and enterprise systems, cybersecurity and COMSEC management, RF and tactical communications support, technical support and troubleshooting, end-user training and documentation, curriculum SME support to validate IT training content against NAVEDTRA standards, collaboration with instructional designers to translate IT tasks into curriculum objectives, and ensuring QA alignment with Navy learning standards. Prior Navy IT experience with fleet-wide IT operations, governance familiarity (NAVEDTRA, RRL, CLLC), and the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences are required; desired qualifications include Navy MTS or curriculum development experience, FT analysis/training gap analysis experience, and active Secret clearance or ability to obtain if required.
Required Qualifications
- Former U.S. Navy Information Systems Technician (IT) or equivalent IT operational experience
- Demonstrated expertise in system administration, network operations, cybersecurity, and communications systems
- Experience providing technical SME support to training, curriculum development, instruction, or Fleet training modernization
- Familiarity with Navy training governance (NAVEDTRA, RRL, CLLC, etc.)
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
