Job Summary
On-site Facilities Project Manager for SWOS (Surface Warfare Officers School) and PMS 339, providing technical oversight for facility programs including classroom and lab upgrades, electrical and data wiring, HVAC, and equipment removal/installation. Responsible for managing facility analysts, design teams, construction contractors, and consultants across schedule, funding, and day-to-day oversight; developing IMS to support program objectives; leading meetings, working groups, and technical proposals; drafting planning cost estimates and schematics; supporting installation and upgrades, ensuring documentation for maintenance contracts, and coordinating with government sponsors and cross-functional teams to plan scope, deliverables, resources, and timelines for new initiatives. Requires a bachelor’s degree or five years of related experience (or equivalent), strong reading/writing skills, and experience delivering briefings to senior leaders; PMP preferred. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in collaboration with government and contractor engineers; English proficiency and strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of relative experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
- PMP certification preferred, but not required
- Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of Training System Installation Plan (TSIP) and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) documents
- Working knowledge of federal/NAVFAC construction procedures
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience delivering briefing and recommendations to senior executives
- Experience managing complex customer requirements across cost, schedule and quality
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
- Two years of military Shore Site facility installation experience or equivalent apprenticeship/training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Visio preferred
