Job Summary
Facilities Project Manager will provide technical expertise to Navy NTTC Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, guiding facility upgrades from initial requirements through installation. Responsibilities include overseeing analysts, design teams, contractors, and consultants; managing schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight; developing IMS and coordinating meetings to review status and punch lists; leading working groups, drafting statements of work and technical proposals; preparing schematics, drawings, and parts lists; supporting installation, modification, and upgrades; ensuring maintenance contracts are fulfilled and documentation maintained; analyzing financial and technical data; coordinating with sponsors and cross-functional teams to plan scope, deliverables, resources, and timelines; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; requires ability to read installation drawings and related manuals, proficiency in English, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree or five years of relative experience or demonstrated equivalency required; PMP preferred; two years of military shore site facility installation experience or related apprenticeship/program completion; on-site physical requirements (lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or five years of relative experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
- PMP certification preferred but not required
- Experience with managing complex customer requirements across all aspects of cost, schedule and quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and interpret installation drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Visio experience preferred
- Ability to work with government sponsors, cross-functional teams, and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience preparing and delivering briefing and recommendations to senior executives on a regular basis
- Knowledge of TSIP and UFC documents; federal construction procedures
