Job Summary
The Facilities Project Manager will provide technical leadership for facility upgrades and maintenance at SWOS and PMS 339 in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities include defining facility requirements, developing SOWs and technical specifications, reviewing schematics and drawings, supervising meetings and working groups, coordinating project lifecycle activities, ensuring compliance with OPSEC/ATFP standards, managing documentation and reporting for maintenance contracts, collaborating with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and supporting installation or modification of facility infrastructure. Requires ability to read installation drawings and manuals, coordinate with military and contractor personnel, and use project tracking tools; a Bachelor's degree (or five years' relative experience) and strong analytical/problem-solving skills are essential. PMP is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of relative experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders including military personnel, government agencies, and contractors
- Experience working in secure and classified environments with OPSEC, physical security, and AT/FP standards
- Proficiency with project tracking tools, databases, or scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Visio)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PMP certification preferred but not required
- Good communication skills, ability to read/install drawings, safety instructions, and maintenance manuals
- Ability to develop facility Statements of Work (SOW), technical specifications, and proposal documentation
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Experience with facility infrastructure installation/upgrade and maintenance contract oversight
- Experience interpreting installation drawings and procedures
- Experience with space planning, electrical and data wiring, HVAC systems
- Experience supporting government and contractor engineers
