Job Summary
Sellers & Associates seeks an experienced Training Developer to support U.S. Navy training initiatives. The TD will analyze, design, and develop instructional materials using adult learning principles, the PADDIE+M model, and NAVEDTRA standards. Responsibilities include applying ISD principles, conducting JDTA/FEA/BCA analyses, and designing Navy training products (TPP, CMS, CTTL, learning objectives, Trainee Guides, Lesson Plans, Instructor Guides, TCCD, multimedia, and testing documentation). Evaluate existing curricula to identify gaps and recommend updates or new solutions, determine delivery methods (ILT, eLearning, blended), collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders, and ensure alignment with NAVEDTRA and ILE standards using NAVY tools (CPM, LOM). Maintain audit trails, document workshop minutes, and ensure timely delivery of training products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or related field (experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing curriculum for defense or higher education clients
- 5+ years’ experience supporting Navy training development programs (NETC, NAVSEA, or Warfare Centers preferred)
- Hands-on experience with NAVEDTRA training deliverables and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in using CPM/LOM tools
- Familiarity with the PADDIE+M model and its application in military training programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
