Job Summary

Senior Municipal Engineer responsible for leading the design of municipal facilities and roadway projects in the Western region. Will direct a multi-disciplinary team, contribute hands-on design work, provide technical direction, and use project-management skills to organize, plan, and direct work activities and budgets. Will foster client relationships, contribute to business development through proposals and client meetings, and oversee construction management. Requires experience with water, storm sewer, wastewater, roadways design and a strong understanding of municipal/state government funding sources; must have or obtain Montana Professional Engineer licensure within six months. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead teams, and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Montana or ability to obtain within six months
  • Technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with project management and budgeting
  • Capability of supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and clients
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license
