Job Summary
Manage simulation equipment, including multi-media resources and full-body patient simulators, by overseeing preparation, implementation, software configuration, routine maintenance, and safety monitoring. Develop and maintain web materials, provide A/V capture for sessions, and establish inventory control practices to manage supply levels cost effectively. Interact with vendors, obtain bids, and make purchasing decisions within delegated authority while maintaining records and implementing hardware updates. Collect data for research grants and prepare expense summaries, ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance programs and accreditation standards. Perform administrative duties such as data entry, report processing, and booking lab time. Work up to 21 hours per week at Thompson Rivers University.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 plus an Associate Degree, 2 year diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education
- Three (3) years' related laboratory or field experience
- WHMIS Certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Programming, hardware and software applications (accounting or scheduling software), MS Office Suite, A/V expertise, Business Systems, or Accounting
- Ability to work with sophisticated simulation software programs
- Technical trouble-shooting skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe laboratory practices
- Ability to lift weights in excess of 10kg
- Travel required
