Job Summary
The Williams Lake Administrative Coordinator provides confidential, high-level administrative support to the Williams Lake Campus & Regions Academic Director and Manager, Administration & Operations WL. Responsibilities include supervising support staff, managing employee relations with People & Culture, coordinating recruitment, interviewing and hiring auxiliary staff, training employees, maintaining knowledge of collective agreements, coordinating schedules and travel, overseeing purchasing and expense reconciliations, organizing committees and minutes, representing TRU at external engagements, and ensuring timely, professional communication and operations in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- BC Grade 12 or equivalent plus a post-secondary diploma in business or a related field, a degree is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a related setting
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal courteously and tactfully with staff, students, and the public
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational abilities with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to work strategically and cooperatively with others at all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and tasks
- Ability to work independently on tasks and projects
