Job Summary
Ground Software Developer to join a key team supporting a human spaceflight program. Develop, maintain, and modify ground software for launch vehicle and human spaceflight applications. Work within an Agile/Scrum team to support requirements, design, implementation, test, integration, and verification. Write and perform unit tests, conduct software peer reviews, develop and run integration tests, and support ground systems testing, hardware/software integration, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations. Travel up to 25% may be required. Requires U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident status and Real ID-compliant ID. Strong C++, Python, embedded systems, and Linux experience, along with software design, automated testing, requirements analysis, and software configuration management using Bitbucket and Jira. Excellent communication skills and proven ability to produce technical reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience with C++, Python, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, simulations, and Linux-based operating systems
- Experience with object-oriented software design and development
- Experience developing or maintaining automated software tests
- Experience with requirements analysis, requirements verification, systems engineering concepts, and software/system integration
- Understanding of Software Configuration Management practices and tools, including Bitbucket and Jira
- Strong software debugging skills
- Demonstrated ability to write technical reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to support occasional travel up to 25%
