Job Summary

Conduct reliability analysis including Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for the Boeing CST-100 Starliner spacecraft. Identify and document potential failure causes, describe worst-case failure effects, and assess system interfaces within FMEA while considering mission timeline events. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as MIL-HDBK-217 and SAE JA1000. Support Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations for reliability-related issues. Requires 10+ years of experience, prior aerospace background, and proficiency with model-based systems engineering tools. This 100% onsite role in Houston, TX, supports NASA's Commercial Crew Program.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizens
  • subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing
  • valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card
  • 10 or more years of experience in Reliability Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)
  • Experience using model-based systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, Teamcenter, etc.)
  • Prior aerospace experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Quality, or a related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001
  • Familiarity with MBSE Cameo
  • Certification in reliability engineering (e.g., Certified Reliability Engineer - CRE)
