Job Summary
Design and maintain digital system models using SysML and CAMEO to represent complex spacecraft architectures for NASA's Commercial Crew Program. Capture and maintain traceability of system requirements within architecture models while integrating MBSE with configuration management and system simulation activities. Translate customer reference architecture models into internal architecture models and contribute to the continuous improvement of MBSE training, tools, and processes. Mentor systems engineers in MBSE best practices and tool usage. This 100% onsite role in Houston, TX (with Florida option) requires 5+ years of MBSE experience, a Bachelor's degree, and U.S. citizenship due to federal facility security and DOT testing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizens
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use
- Subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing
- Valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card
- 5 or more years of experience developing MBSE system models using Cameo/NoMagic
- Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
- Experience with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Experience applying model-based approaches on engineering projects and integrating models into architecture and digital engineering platforms
- Bachelors degree in relevant field
Desired Qualifications
- Possession of an Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional – Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP-MBF) certification
- Ability to provide technical and programmatic recommendations on the development, integration, and application of digital engineering and MBSE concepts
