Job Summary
Senior Management Analyst at DOE HGEO: Provide subject matter expertise in Enterprise Financial Risk Management and Internal Controls to support FMFIA compliance. Responsibilities include risk assessment, testing design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across major business processes, drafting the FMFIA attestation, preparing the Entity Profile and Risk/Financial Assessments, and recommending improvements to HGEO’s major business processes. Requires a BS or MS in a related field with 5-10 years of relevant experience; MBA in Finance and Accounting is a plus; CPA or CGMA/GFM desirable. Strong communication and writing skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC; salary range $120k-$140k.
Required Qualifications
- A BS or MS degree in a position related field
- 5-10 years of experience directly relevant to the position requirements
- An MBA in Finance and Accounting is plus
- A C.P.A. and other certifications such as a G.F.M. (Certified Government Financial Manager) or C.G.M.A. (Chartered Global Management Accountant) are desirable
- Knowledge of Federal government financial risk assessment
- Ability and experience to work independently and take lead responsibility in conducting risk assessments and report development
- Excellent communication and writing skills and attention to details
