Job Summary
TechSolutions Technical Specialist in Arlington, VA supports a team by developing validation methods to quantify value and maturity of new technology requests; collaborates with ONR Program Officers, SMEs, Science Advisors, and developers to assess technology state; schedules and conducts stakeholder meetings; performs rapid technical analysis to determine availability or need for development; quantifies technology maturity across commercial and government providers; conducts technical inquiries to identify existing or ongoing research; analyzes proposals/whitepapers and quantifies research validity; coordinates stakeholder evaluations and documents inputs in TechSolutions portal; distributes proposals/whitepapers to evaluators; publishes TechSolutions blog summaries and weekly project updates; reviews project reports for deficiencies and coordinates with Principal Investigators; ensures reports are accurate and posted; collects, validates, and distributes monthly technical reports; coordinates outreach plans/events and documents engagement outcomes for leadership; aligns TechSolutions portfolio with Navy and Marine Corps strategic priorities; represents TechSolutions at portfolio reviews and technical exchange sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, material, or industrial engineering or a closely related technical field in engineering and physical sciences
- 7+ years of experience in DoD science and technology development
- Documented qualification as having served in US Navy Surface Warfare Officer, US Navy Submarine Officer, Pilot in Command of a US Navy or Marine Corps Tactical Aircraft
