Job Summary

Lead planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater collection and treatment systems while serving as process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects. Develop innovative treatment solutions through treatability studies, process modeling, mass balances, hydraulic evaluations, and pilot testing to support client decisions. Partner with industrial clients and regulatory agencies to navigate permitting requirements and deliver implementation-ready solutions. Direct technical teams in preparing cost estimates, construction documents, and operating procedures from concept through startup. Troubleshoot existing systems and identify optimization opportunities to support business development through proposals and strategic planning. Requires 10+ years of experience, P.E. registration ideal, and ability to travel including occasional overnight stays.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • 10 or more years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading teams within multi-discipline projects
  • Previous engineering experience working with food and beverage industries
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities
  • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain Professional Engineer registration within 3 months
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
