Job Summary
Model appropriate work maturity skills and hold consumers to the same expectations while monitoring performance and providing feedback. Uphold work contract standards by finding substitutes if participants leave early or are absent, and ensure safety is maintained in the work environment. Provide proper documentation on all participant work performance related to their IEP, and assist students with handicap devices and equipment. Perform delegated nursing duties as directed by the Registered Nurse and carry out established behavioral plans. Operate equipment such as computers and copiers, and participate in emergency preparedness drills. Maintain required certificates, including an Ohio Driver's License and Van Certification, while demonstrating regular attendance and professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certificate (may be obtained after employment)
- Must possess valid Ohio driver's license
- Able to be van certified
- Must pass criminal background check
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
- Attends appropriate workshops and professional meetings
- Performs duties in conformity to the adopted Board Policy
- Displays professional appearance

- Through work performance evaluations, demonstrate a solid working knowledge of most frequently encountered disabilities of participants and the ability to provide specific, quality service for them
