Job Summary
Provide on-site job coaching and advocacy for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Supported Employment. Responsibilities include on-site coaching for designated caseload, documentation of SAP plans and related records, conducting observational job assessments, travel training on public transportation, maintaining case files, preparing documentation for ACCES and OPWDD, acting as liaison between the person supported, families and employers, attending Life Plans and trainings, and providing overall assistance as assigned. Requirements include High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred; NYS driver’s license; and OPWDD training within the first year. Growing entry-level opportunity in the healthcare/education field with a nonprofit employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clean New York State driver’s license
- Complete (within first year of employment) twenty-four (24) hours of OPWDD’s Innovations in Employment Supports training.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field preferred
- OPWDD Innovations in Employment Supports training (24 hours) within first year
- Clean, valid New York State driver’s license
