Job Coach Paraprofessional Position

Job Summary
Provide individualized job coaching and vocational training to students aged 18–22 in school and community-based work settings. Teach job-specific skills, workplace expectations, and social interactions while supporting independence and self-advocacy. Monitor student performance, provide feedback, and communicate progress to teachers and transition staff. Build relationships with employers, families, and community partners to ensure successful employment experiences. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. Accompany students to various locations, including classrooms and employment sites, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25–50 pounds, as required.
- Ability to assist students with mobility and daily living activities when necessary.
- Ability to accompany and supervise students in school, community, and workplace settings.
- Ability to travel between school and community-based employment sites, when applicable.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or completion of two years of college coursework in education, human services, rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience working with individuals with disabilities or transition-age youth may be considered.
- Experience working with adolescents or young adults in educational, vocational, community-based, or employment settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of transition services, workplace expectations, and strategies for supporting individuals with diverse learning needs is preferred.
