Job Summary
Guide clients in maintaining employment by reinforcing workplace training, interpreting social and physical workplace aspects, and building daily routines. Implement prompting strategies to encourage independence while monitoring progress and documenting outcomes. Facilitate individual or small group experiential learning sessions using job simulation and develop individualized training plans based on Skills for Success and NOC profiles. Communicate effectively with employers, families, and stakeholders regarding support needs and fading plans. Requires a valid driver's license for travel to Charlotte County and Sussex area; full-time, 6-month term position with possibility of permanent employment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Disability Support Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must have a valid driver's license to be able to travel to various work sites as needed
- All candidates must submit to a criminal record check with vulnerable sectors and a Social Development check prior to employment with Key Industries
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or employment barriers is considered an asset
