Job Summary
Provide employment support at work sites to individuals seeking to maintain competitive employment. Support participants in exploring vocational interests, skill building, and review opportunities for continued growth. Assist individuals in seeking new employment, promotions, or job accommodations. Maintain relationships with current employers and communicate employment opportunities to the team. Document activities through daily case notes and progress reports while developing annual goals based on individual interests. Connect individuals with external resources such as SSI, Career Centers, and Benefits Planners. Maintain standards of confidentiality and ethical practice while utilizing effective time management skills. Available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities, preferably in an inclusive and integrated setting
- Ability to navigate computers and varying computer software
- Must be able to verify employment eligibility under USCIS I-9 requirements
- CA Driver License
- Clean driving record
- Available to work a flexible schedule which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible and able to adapt to frequent changes to case load, support strategies, company policies, state, and federal laws, as well as other regulations that affect our industry
- At least 75% of this role is providing direct support
- Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in related field preferred
