Job Summary
Job Coach in our Supported Employment Program works in the San Fernando Valley traveling to participants' workplaces to provide hands-on training, task observation, and evaluation, helping individuals learn policies and workplace culture, develop skills, and build relationships with workplace supervisors to maximize success. The role involves assisting participants with completing tasks, logging progress in BuildAbility’s digital program, and supporting job-site integration, with compensation starting at $18-$21 per hour and benefits including paid sick time, mileage reimbursement, EAP, and retirement options. Flexible schedule includes both part-time and full-time roles with weekend availability and a travel-heavy work location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- CPR/First Aid Certification (required, or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (required, or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
- Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance
- Willing to travel
- Proof of Criminal Background Clearance
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
