Job Summary
Manage a caseload of 10-15 clients, spending 90% of time at job sites teaching, assisting, and supporting new workers through demonstration, modeling, counseling, and observation. Provide on-the-job training to ensure success, assist with travel from home to sites, and write detailed service notes to monitor progress. Gradually fade support as clients achieve proficiency in their roles. Full-time position with 40 hours per week, including flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend hours. One year of experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred, along with Direct Support Professional experience. Located in Brooklyn and Bronx.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual
- May include early morning, evening and/or weekend hours
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience a Plus
- Understanding of Person Centered Planning
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including effective writing and oral communication skills
