Job Summary
Develop and organize Revit models in coordination with in-house teams and project consultants. Prepare and coordinate comprehensive construction documents, integrate applicable building and zoning codes, and manage the permitting and plan check process with various local jurisdictions. Coordinate consultant efforts to ensure project alignment, assist in establishing project schedules and deliverables, and support construction administration and quality assurance reviews. Contribute to design development and assist with design presentations. This role involves working directly with principals and project managers on multi-family housing and education projects within a twenty-nine-person San Diego-based studio. Applicants must hold a Professional Degree in Architecture with 3-6 years of experience, demonstrating advanced Revit knowledge and familiarity with Type VA and Type IA construction.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in Revit
- Demonstrated knowledge in DD/CD/Permitting on large multi-family projects
- Familiar with Type VA and Type IA construction
- Experienced in wood-frame multi-family housing
- Strong technical knowledge and experience assembling construction documents
- Experience with construction administration
- Familiarity with state and local building and zoning codes, including accessibility standards
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong design sensibility and attention to aesthetics
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Between 3-6 years experience in an architectural office preferred
- California experience preferred
