Job Summary
Provide architectural support and coordination from Design Development through Construction Administration, applying advanced concepts to translate design intent into clear, buildable solutions. Produce, review, and refine drawings for code and office compliance while monitoring project budgets and schedules. Prepare technical reports and specifications, then supervise and mentor technical staff through redlining and guidance. Collaborate with clients and consultants to maintain strong relationships. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite in Irvine, Pleasanton, or San Diego. Candidates must have a professional architecture degree, three years of experience including at least one year as a Job Captain, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of building codes, with the ability to apply them across different commercial building types and construction methods.
- Strong experience producing complete construction drawing sets from start to finish.
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
- Hands‐on experience working in the construction phases of projects (RFIs, submittals, coordination, etc.)
- Self‐motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem‐solving skills, sound judgment, and reliable follow‐through.
- Excellent graphic, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to provide positive direction and leadership to architectural staff.
- 3+ years of professional experience in architecture, including at least 1 year serving as a Job Captain.
- Demonstrated experience on commercial projects.
- Professional degree in architecture from a NAAB‐accredited 4‐ or 5‐year program.
- Clear commitment to professional growth, ideally including progress toward architectural licensure.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at their Irvine, Pleasanton, or San Diego office.
