Job Summary
Diagnose complex neurological conditions by reviewing patient history, performing examinations, and ordering neurodiagnostic tests. Counsel patients on neurological disorders and their backgrounds. Order neurological tests and interpret neuroimaging results. Prescribe and administer treatment and medications. Monitor cognitive and behavioral side effects of therapies. Arrange supportive care services and participate in neuroscience research activities. Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals. Stay current with neurological developments, treatments, and medications. Perform specialized procedures and tests including sleep disorders, neuroimmunology, neuro-oncology, behavioral neurology, and neurogenetics; conduct lumbar punctures, EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction velocity tests.
Required Qualifications
- Active NY State License
- Board Certified
- Credentialed with Medicaid (required)
- Medicare (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience
