Job Summary
Perform radiographic imaging in accordance with physicians’ orders, including verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, and positioning patients. Take radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs; minimize radiation exposure with lead shields; ensure X-ray image quality to avoid repeats; collaborate with the resident Radiologist to determine necessary follow-up tests; maintain X-ray equipment and promptly report malfunctions; document completed procedures; and educate patients about procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field
- New York State License
- ARRT Certification preferred
- Medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) preferred
