Job Summary
Pulmonologist needed for Bronx multi-specialty practice. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema; use and interpret pulmonological exams and tests to aid in diagnosis, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies; perform various specialized procedures to acquire samples of the chest wall lining or lungs for analysis; provide immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary diseases; maintain detailed notes of appointments and treatments; refer patients to cardiothoracic surgeons when necessary and advise on risk status, especially in tuberculosis cases; provide support for long-term care; conduct research into testing and development of new medications and methods of treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Active NY State License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
