Job Summary
Registered Dietitian Health Care Facility Surveyor responsible for CMS long-term care facility surveys. Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, completion of CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training, and passage of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT). Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent surveyor experience accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities, maintain active RD licensure, and demonstrate independent decision-making to direct and manage the survey process. Must be able to set priorities, discuss conflicts openly, and seek assistance as needed. US citizenship is required and travel up to 75% is anticipated. Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics
- CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Dietitian
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
