Job Summary
Registered Dietitian Health Care Facility Surveyor needed to support a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role involves surveying and accrediting long-term care facilities, applying CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, and managing survey processes with independent decision-making. Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, maintain current RD licensure, and be prepared to travel up to 75% of the time. The position is full-time (Monday–Friday) with comprehensive benefits and extensive training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics
- Must have successfully completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long-term care facilities
- Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Registered Dietitian
- Demonstrated history of independent decision-making to direct and effectively manage the survey process
- Ability to set priorities independently and collectively in performing survey tasks
- Ability to openly discuss conflicts/controversy, and to seek assistance when appropriate to make decisions and resolve conflicts
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis
