Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor responsible for on-site and remote surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified facilities nationwide; requires RN licensure, Associate or Bachelor's in Nursing, CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, 2+ years survey experience, travel up to 75%, remote 100% with travel, leads or participates in surveys across facilities including ASC, ICF/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospital, hospice; duties include preparing off-site work, conducting surveys, evaluating compliance with Federal regulations, documenting non-compliance, plans of correction, and training support.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- At least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long-term care facilities
- Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Demonstrated a history of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis is required
