Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor role supporting CMS regulatory surveys nationwide. Requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, an RN license with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, at least 2 years of surveyor experience in accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities, and willingness to travel up to 75%. The position is full-time with a 100% remote work arrangement and involves acting as a team member or leader on surveys (e.g., re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, revisits) across a variety of care settings. Responsibilities include conducting on-site surveys to ensure compliance with Federal regulations, performing preparatory work, evaluating quality of care and patient rights, communicating deficiencies, and assisting with plans of correction. Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have successfully completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long-term care facilities
- Must maintain current licensure to practice as an RN
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis
