Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. 100% remote with up to 75% travel. Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations; serve as a team member or team leader on surveys (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, revisits) across various facilities, including ASC, ICF/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospital, hospice. Requires RN license, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training, SMQT, and at least 2 years of surveyor experience. Responsibilities include off-site preparation, facility tours, observations, record reviews, staff/family interviews, and developing plans of correction where needed. Remote work with significant travel, strong decision-making and communication skills, and ability to train and participate in workgroups.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training
- Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving residents of long-term care facilities
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
