Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor based in North Carolina, with CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT required, and 2+ years of surveyor experience. This 100% remote role involves conducting on-site surveys nationwide (up to 75% travel) of Medicare-Medicaid facilities (e.g., long-term care facilities, ASC, ICF/IID, ESRD centers, hospitals, hospices) to assess compliance with federal regulations. Requires RN licensure, ability to independently prioritize and resolve conflicts, and travel readiness. Includes full benefits package and predictable schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training
- Must have passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
- Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Demonstrated a history of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process
- Ability to set priorities independently and collectively in performing survey tasks
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis
