Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor role based in New York with a nationwide impact. Responsibilities include conducting on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations; leading survey teams on re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits across settings such as LTAC, ASC, ICF/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, and hospice; applying approved survey protocols; preparing and communicating findings and plans of correction; participating in training and work groups; and coordinating travel logistics. Requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, an RN license, a nursing degree (AS/BS), independent decision-making, ability to set priorities, strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and willingness to travel up to 75% (remote work option supported). Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
- Must maintain current RN licensure
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
