Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to support CMS-related surveys nationwide; requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, an RN with an Associate or Bachelor’s in nursing, and at least 2 years’ experience surveying/accrediting long-term care facilities; role involves leading/joining survey teams across various facility types (e.g., SNF, ICF/IID, ESRD, hospice) per federal regulations; travel up to 75% with a 100% remote assignment and a Monday–Friday schedule; benefits include salary $75,000–$90,000/year, paid time off, holidays, health and retirement plans, travel expenses covered, and extensive training.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving long-term care residents
- Current licensure to practice as an RN
- Demonstrated independent decision-making skills for survey process
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
