Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor in Massachusetts is a full-time role offering 75% travel with 100% remote work. Responsibilities include conducting on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to assess compliance with Federal regulations, preparing and conducting surveys (off-site preparation, tours, observation of care, record reviews, staff/family interviews), evaluating facility systems for quality of care and residents’ rights, communicating non-compliance issues, coordinating plans of correction, and conducting follow-up visits. Training and leadership responsibilities include assisting with facility and bureau training and participating in work groups as needed. The position requires applying approved survey protocols for on-site reviews across a range of facilities (e.g., SNFs, ASC, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, hospice) and travel to facilities nationwide. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, prioritization, conflict resolution, and ability to travel extensively. Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current RN licensure
- CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training
- Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- At least two years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Ability to maintain licensure to practice as an RN
