Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor sought to support CMS and QA initiatives with nationwide on-site and remote surveys. Role involves leading or contributing to surveys (recertification, comparison, complaint investigations, revisits) across diverse facilities (long-term care and related settings), applying approved survey protocols, and ensuring compliance with Federal regulations. Must travel up to 75% and hold an RN license with CMS training (Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT). Responsibilities include conducting facility surveys, performing record reviews, staff and family interviews, and communicating non-compliance issues with facilities; evaluating quality of care and residents’ rights, developing plans of correction, and assisting with training and work groups. Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current RN licensure
- CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training
- SMQT (Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test)
- At least two (2) years of recent surveyor experience in accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
