Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for nationwide remote surveys with up to 75% travel. Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations; apply approved survey protocols; coordinate and lead survey activities (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigations, revisits) across diverse settings including long-term care facilities, ASCs, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTFs, hospitals, and hospices. Requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, RN licensure, 2+ years surveying/accrediting facilities, and ability to travel frequently. Required Qualifications
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long-term care facilities
- Must maintain current licensure to practice as an RN
- Demonstrated history of independent decision-making to direct and effectively manage the survey process
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis
