Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor responsible for conducting on-site surveys to determine compliance with Federal regulations across multiple facility types (long-term care, ASC, ICF/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospital, hospice). The role is 100% remote with up to 75% travel and may serve as a team member or team leader on various survey types (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, revisits). Duties include applying approved survey protocols, conducting off-site preparation, tours, care observations, record reviews, and staff/family interviews; identifying non-compliance and communicating deficiencies; determining plans of correction and monitoring implementation; providing facility and bureau training as needed. Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training
- Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities for long-term care
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Demonstrated independent decision-making skills in directing the survey process
