Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor responsible for applying CMS survey protocols to on-site surveys across national facilities (long-term care, hospitals, ambulatory centers, etc.). Conduct on-site surveys to determine compliance with Federal regulations, evaluate quality of care, and communicate deficiencies. Role includes leading or participating in survey teams, preparing plans of correction, and facilitating follow-up visits. Requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, a registered nurse license, and at least two years of survey experience. Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Demonstrated independent decision-making to direct and manage the survey process
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
