Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor needed to support quality improvement in national healthcare facilities. role involves conducting on-site surveys (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits) across diverse facilities (long-term care and non-long-term care) such as SNFs, ASCs, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospice. Responsibilities include applying approved survey protocols, preparing off-site materials, conducting on-site tours and interviews, evaluating care quality and patient rights, identifying non-compliance, and assisting with plans of correction; may act as team member or team leader. Requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, RN licensure, strong independent decision-making, prioritization, conflict resolution, and travel readiness (up to 75%). Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must have successfully completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
- At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving residents of long-term care facilities
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis
