Job Summary
RN Health Care Facility Surveyor — remote role with up to 75% travel nationwide. Requires CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT, an RN license, and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Conducts on-site surveys for Medicare-Medicaid certified facilities across diverse settings (long-term care and non-long-term care facilities) using approved survey protocols; responsibilities include off-site prep, facility tours, care observation, record reviews, staff/family interviews, and determining compliance with Federal regulations; prepares plans of correction, communicates deficiencies, and may train facility staff. Travel up to 75% and collaboration within teams or as a team leader; full-time with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current RN licensure
- CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training
- SMQT
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities
