Job Summary
Configure, administer, and optimize JIRA Service Management to enhance ITSM workflows, automation, and reporting. Manage JIRA workflows, custom fields, SLAs, and automation rules while maintaining user access controls and security settings. Design incident, change, and problem management processes; develop service portals for ticket submission and tracking. Integrate JIRA with third-party applications like Confluence, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, and collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline connections. Develop dashboards for IT service performance and provide Tier 2/3 support for Jira-related issues. Conduct user training sessions and offer data-driven insights to improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience as a JIRA Administrator, with a strong focus on JIRA Service Management
- Hands-on experience configuring JIRA workflows, automation, SLAs, and service portals
- Experience integrating JIRA with third-party tools such as Confluence, Slack, and monitoring systems
- Experience with JIRA Data Center and cloud migrations
- Proficiency in JQL (JIRA Query Language), scripting tools (Scriptrunner, Groovy), and API integrations
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Knowledge of JIRA Insight Asset Management and its application in IT asset tracking
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Familiarity with Atlassian Access and user identity management
