Jig & Fixture Technician

Job Summary
Fabricate and assemble weld fixtures, saw jigs, and drill jigs for complex marine components using TIG structural welding on aluminum and stainless steel. Operate machine tools including saws, grinders, and ironworkers while inspecting finished tools for quality and accuracy. Troubleshoot tooling issues, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to improve tool designs. Function as a liaison between Engineering and production departments, providing technical guidance during new product development. Adhere to safety policies, comply with hazardous waste disposal procedures, and maintain 5S standards. Work typical 10-hour days with travel and overtime required when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' TIG Welding aluminum and stainless-steel
- Minimum 5 years' fabrication of welding fixtures/jigs
- General knowledge of tube bending
- General computer knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form
- Knowledgeable in regard to safety policies and procedures of the Company
- Ability to comply with company hazardous waste disposal procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform standard 5S activities
- Ability to travel and work overtime when necessary
- Ability to work typical 10-hour workdays
