Job Summary
Sketch and develop original jewelry designs for seasonal and capsule collections, creating clear technical drawings and spec sheets to communicate design intent to manufacturing partners. Select materials including metals, gemstones, and findings; review and approve production samples to ensure accuracy to design intent and quality standards. Stay current on industry trends, maintain an organized archive of sketches and samples, and present collections to internal stakeholders. Analyze defect reports and return data to identify recurring quality issues, converting findings into specific spec changes and verifying corrective actions with suppliers. Coordinate cross-functionally with production, operations, art direction, and website teams to align on timelines, assets, and launch requirements. This role supports Linjer's expansion of the Hong Kong office, contributing to a rapidly scaling studio focused on sustainable, high-quality jewelry.
Required Qualifications
- Professionally fluent in English
- You have a fantastic eye for design and a strong, cohesive aesthetic sensibility
- You can communicate design intent clearly and precisely through drawings and written specs
- You're coachable and dedicated to continuous personal improvement and professional growth
- You're thorough and detail-oriented, with a high bar for quality
- Comfortable with learning new tools and excited to work with AI
- You thrive in a high-growth environment and enjoy a startup team culture
- Bonus, but not required: 3+ years of professional jewelry design experience and a portfolio to share
- You have strong knowledge of metals, stones, fabrication methods, and finishing techniques
