Job Summary
Ensure vessels are safely berthed, correctly moored, and aligned with shore loading arms while managing the connection and disconnection of marine loading arms and hoses. Operate valves to monitor vessel discharge operations and complete all required hourly and safety checks. Distribute operational documentation including pre-berth and post-sailing checklists, logs, and security records. Act as the key link between internal and external stakeholders to communicate vessel attendance, cargo transfer activities, and security duties professionally. Participate in training programmes to maintain competencies and report hazards, near misses, and safety concerns promptly. Travel to various locations as required to deliver terminal and marine services. Work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' industry experience
- Full, clean driving license with access to your own transport
- Comfortable working outdoors in a marine environment and undertaking practical operational duties
- The position requires flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
- Full-time hours are 156 hours per month, over 7 days
Desired Qualifications
- Jetty or terminal experience desired but not necessary as full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills
- Good understanding and appreciation of a proactive safety culture
- Willingness to travel between sites (travel costs are covered)
